It Takes more than Two

Takes two, to dance the dance of love and life.
But the orchestra’s rhythm guide four feet.
The music makes you move and joins your pulse;
The love around you is that tango beat.

A husband’s wise who leads to follow;
A gentle wife will follow to lead the heart
In a tandem life with di Sarli or Caló.
“Takes two,” you say, “to tango”! It’s just the start.

Your dance we watch in awe of synchrony.
Of Yin in play with Yang—no questions asked
Of who takes charge—complex in simplicity—Both guide the love that dances slow then fast.

And through the years, your dance will have us say
You dance as if forever and a day.
