When We Dance We Remember
When we dance we remember
In the beginning when the human spirit was One
She did not know that she was alone.
She did not know that she was alone.
She would would watch the sun rise and set
And her heart filled with Eros-Love in the ecstasy
Of all of her senses, of each beauty-of-the-moment.
She ran with the animals on earth and laughed out loud.
They knew her Love as their loyal friend's open heart. She ran with them as their dance of tandem oneness.
She felt the love of family as she came to know
All the seasons on earth, all the spirits of animals.
All the earth became her friend and it hers.
Then she came to love for no reason except love itself was lovely.
Her Agape-Love was so large that the clouds opened,
Raining the Human Spirit upon earth, millions of drops.
Human Spirit was cold and naked and alone, but found her warmth
In bringing together all four loves, she knew again she was One
For when love was One, she too was One:
One love of beauty, included
One love of friends, included
One unconditional love.
We are One now, although we have forgotten.
But when we dance, we remember.
